We’ve worked with country-wear brand, Joseph Turner, for more than seven years now, producing catalogues for two different seasons each year.
This latest catalogue production involved a host of our services here at Pure, including photography, retouching, colour correcting, catalogue design and print management, all of which we handle under one roof.
Location & Studio Photography Shoots.
For each catalogue we spend two days shooting on location with two models, with each having around 25 outfit changes! For this latest shoot, we headed up to the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, where we captured imagery at Birdsall House – a picturesque stately home – and North Star Club – a stylish collection of rustic country lodges. With a crew of photographers, stylists and make-up artists, we captured a selection of images that embodied the brand’s traditional, Yorkshire heritage.
To complement the location photography, we also shot a host of still life set ups in our 5,000 sq. ft., Leeds-based photography studio. Once the visuals were complete, it was time for our design team to get to work on the catalogue.
Designing the Catalogue.
The catalogue artwork involved our designers retouching all of the images to ensure that each garment was colour correct – a tall order when the catalogue features hundreds of items!
Once complete and signed off by the client, we also managed the printing of the catalogue. Each season around one million copies of the Joseph Turner catalogue are printed in two different versions – one for the UK market and one for the USA.
Having a dedicated team of photographers, stylists and designers all under one roof is one of our main strong points. We’re ideally equipped to deliver a variety of design projects from initial concepts to completion, guaranteeing flexibility and a quick turnaround.
