Handicare Stairlifts

Services

Handicare are a global manufacturer and supplier of solutions to help support and aid independence among physically challenged, or elderly people. As a long standing client, Handicare came to Pure with a brief to help streamline operations with engineers who install and maintain their stairlifts. Traditionally, engineers were offered training on the various Handicare solutions face to face, which was costly and time consuming.Handicare wanted to streamline these processes by moving them online.

The Process.

As new stairlifts are released, engineers are required to complete a training course before being permitted to install them. They are also advised to refresh the course every two years to keep them up to date with best practices. Training had been done face to face in the past, but with new attitudes to online training, post covid lock down, the decision was made to trial the training process online.

Pure were tasked with developing an online academy that would deliver on the following requirements:

  • Account and course enrolment process
  • Course material in the form of text, presentations, videos and diagrams, segmented by modules
  • Required the user to take a quiz before moving on to the next module
  • End of course test
  • Release of a certificate upon successful completion
  • Available in 5 languages
  • Dashboard to track user progress and course completion

The Results.

Pure’s web team designed and developed the platform using a powerful online learning extension and customised the look and feel to deliver on the requirements. Pure also assisted in the production of the course material, alongside Handicare’s internal team.

The platform has been a huge success, with more stairlift models and training courses planned in the near future to offer an alternative to face to face training.
