Global brakes manufacturer, TMD Friction, called on integrated marketing agency Pure, to develop a range of best practice training videos with former Wheeler Dealers’ mechanic, Edd China, for its Textar and Mintex brands.

Pure’s video and production team worked closely with TMD Friction to develop the scripts that would demonstrate best practice in an engaging way.

Filmed over two days in the ‘Wheeler Dealers’ style, the video series covered a variety of subjects, including brake pad and disc replacement, changing brakes safely with an electronic parking brake and the importance of regular brake fluid testing. Edd China brought his renowned natural charm and charisma to each of the videos.

Following the filming and editing, Pure transcribed the videos, translated into various languages and recorded voiceovers for the associated languages.

As online media becomes the go-to source of information, the videos were launched on Textar and Mintex’s social media channels as well as the brands’ websites. The videos will also be used by the technical team when working with garages and training at colleges.
