It’s celebrations all round at Pure HQ, as we’ve been shortlisted in the ‘Best Health’ category in The Drum’s prestigious Chip Shop Awards. Our team of creatives pooled their skills and expertise to develop the shortlisted advertising concept for feminine hygiene product brand, Always.
Vulputate odio ut enim blandit volutpat maecenas volutpat. In nulla posuere sollicitudin aliquam ultrices. Phasellus egestas tellus rutrum tellus pellentesque. Netus et malesuada fames ac turpis egestas. Sed enim ut sem viverra aliquet eget. Velit sed ullamcorper morbi tincidunt ornare massa eget.
The Chip Shop Awards provides a platform for pure creativity – there are no rules when it comes to the theme or content of entries, and the ideas don’t have to be for an existing client, meaning we were able to flex our design muscles to come up with the innovative concept.
The underlying theme of our advertising concept was to raise awareness of period poverty – one in 10 girls aged 14 to 21 years old in the UK don’t have access to hygienic sanitary products.
Under the strapline ‘There’s not Always a choice’, the advert showcases just some of the makeshift solutions women have to utilise for their monthly cycle, from socks and towels to newspaper and even leaves.
Here’s what our director, Gary Dooley, has to say about the nomination: “The Chip Shop Awards is one of the industry’s most prestigious award schemes, so to be nominated is a fantastic achievement.
“We have a brilliant team of creatives here at Pure, and developing the ad concept for this entry was a real team effort. Bring on the announcement of the winners.”
The winners of The Chip Shop Awards will be announced at a ceremony in London on 13th June – fingers crossed we come out catch of the day!
